Bleeding and discharge

Hello,
It’s my first time posting and I am incredibly anxious. For background I am the mother of a healthy 1 year old and had an entirely normal pregnancy.
6 weeks into my pregnancy this time, I noticed some red spotting in my underwear which didn’t feel right. Booked in at the EPU and ultrasound confirmed the pregnancy and there was heartbeat present. There was no real explanation for the bleeding apart from implantation.
I am now 9 weeks pregnant and had a sensation earlier today of fluid passing out and upon checking I had soaked my undies and there was a slight pink spot or two but not a clot. Since then I have had light bleeding into a pad without clots. The blood does seem dark in nature. We panicked and went to get a private US done this evening which showed the sac in the right position with a fetus present, wriggling around and a heartbeat present. The sonographer was unable to see any points of active bleeding on the scan. Has anyone experienced this and have any idea what it may be?

This sounds alot like what I went through recently. I found out quite late I was pregnant but once I found out I booked an early scan at a private clinic because I was so shocked. I was so in tune with my body first time round (mum to 1 healthy 5 year old) I knew super early, I didnt even need to take a test and this time was such a shock. At the early scan I was 9 weeks and seen a heartbeat. A week later I wiped and had a dark brown bloody discharge. I let it go, it wasnt much, but a week after at around 11 weeks preg I felt like a wet between my legs and rushed to the toilet where I was bleeding bright red. It was like a heavy period but a few hours later there was clots and little bits of like tissue? sort of stuff. Obviously worried I waited till morning and rang EPU. They where in a clinic and I was asked to leave a message or go to A&E if urgent. I didnt hear back until the next morning and the bleeding had nearly stopped so they wouldnt see me. My 12 week scan wasnt for just under 2 weeks so I decided to book in with the private clinic. I was sure I had miscarried but my body just wasnt passing the baby, i felt my symptoms where gone and was having pains. A few days later I went for the scan and to my shock all was well. Wee baby dancing about everywhere no reason for the bleeding. Ive had my 12 week scan since which was late I ended up being 13 weeks plus 4 and all went fine. Again no reason for bleeding. I had brown bloody discharge again 2 days ago and a bit of blood im now 14 weeks plus 4. When getting checked out the midwife just said unfortunatly you might just have unexplained bleeding throughout, it happens but that I have to report any bleeding and be super aware about any other changes, differences or unusual feelings I have. So you could be in the same situation. Its not a nice one really personally i would rather have a reason than not know but baby is healthy and thats what matters.

Thank you for that. I had an EPU appointment today and they also said everything seems fine but I will have regular scans. Did you take some form of bed rest due to it? I am not sure why it’s happening though. It’s very scary aswell

I wasnt offered more scans might change if i end up telling them alot that im bleeding but I forsee alot of money being spent on private scans for my own sanities sake. No I had no bed rest just went on like usual but avoided lifting heavy things and it got me of the hook for walking our dog for a week of so lol!

I am 9 weeks today. Have had spotting for 12 days. Had a scan 9 days ago which showed heartbeat and fo7nd no cause for bleeding. Was told to go back if still spotting after 2 weeks. That 2 weeks is up on Friday

Just to update that my spotting is now dark brown instead of the red that I had previously had. The EPU team don’t seem to concerned as they can’t find a reason for the bleeding. Cervix was closed when they checked and looked healthy. They’ve said that a lot of women bleed in pregnancy and there is just no explanation
