Hi everyone, I have recently registered to north Middlesex university hospital and was wondering if anyone has any recent experiences there. I’m really worried about it all because in my previous pregnancy, I had a 9 week midwife appointment where I had my bloods taken, and was given information about the pregnancy journey and what would happen. I was with a different hospital then but now the closest hospital to me is north Middlesex so I’ve registered there. However I haven’t received any 9 week appointment only a 12 week scan appointment and they don’t pick up the phone on the number that they have on the letter. I haven’t had any communications from them since I registered. I’m really worried. Someone please put my mind at ease.

Hi, I've had two babies at north mid and they were good
Their outpatients appointments are flaky though. But then friends who went to homerton and Whittington said the same.

Not sure why they find picking up the phone/arranging the appointments so difficult but when I actually got to see a midwife/doctor they were good

As far as I know you get less appointments second time round unless you were high risk

Hi OP

I’m at north mid and I’m a FTM. Did not have any problems with the service I’m receiving.
However, they don’t pick up their phones and my 16 week face to face appointment was cancelled to a phone meeting. Bit disappointed as I wanted my bloods evaluated.

I’ve got my 20 week scan on Friday and I was told DH can go, if he gets stopped at the door, I’m going to have to pull a bitch fit Grin

Thank you both for your replies. I’m feeling much better now Smile I did get really worried because their communication is so bad and they don’t pick up their phones but as long as the care they provide is good that’s all that matters Smile

That sounds great if they let your DH in for the 20 week scan! Do let us know if they actually do Grin I was thinking we’d have to do a private scan for DH to be able to see baby but if they allow in the 20 week scan that’s great! Grin

Hi ladies,

Just to keep you updated, I’ve had a text from NMUH saying my partner can attend the 20 week scan!
How exciting, I can’t stop smiling, he’ll be seeing baby for the first time 😊😊
