I keep worrying as my pregnancy symptoms seem to have stopped so I don't know why I just did a test, the line seems really faint, fainter than the one I did at 4 weeks and 5 weeks 😕 does it mean anything?

The test is positive. Step away from the tests now. Look after your physical and mental health, and know that there is a greater chance of a viable pregnancy than not.

Hook effect. I second the previous poster.

Oneandabean · 16/11/2020 16:33

That looks fine, keep away from the tests. They don’t do you any good

Mooey89 · 16/11/2020 17:19

That’s the hook effect. Congratulations :)

Coffeemama · 16/11/2020 21:03

Yep that's positive. Doesn't ever matter how faint the line is.

Please stop testing, all it does is cause anxiety. Maybe book an early scan to put your mind at ease?

sarahjsdddd · 16/11/2020 23:01

Thank you for all replies! Can you book a scan or do you mean privately? I've got my dating scan booked but that's 21st December so long away :( I had a missed miscarriage at the start of the year so I keep thinking the same thing is happening here, i won't test again thank you xx

You can have a private scan, but that may only exacerbate any anxieties you have because obviously the scan is only good for the day it is done, iyswim. However, the stats are good if a heartbeat is detected at 8/9 weeks I think it is. 21 Dec is 5 weeks away so if you were going to have a scan I would do it in 2-3 weeks to make sure the embryo was at the right stage for the viewing! Congratulations and keep positive, I know mmc can have a real knock on effect of how subsequent pregnancies feel but do remember to enjoy it ☺️
