Hi there im so annoyed as ive realised i may not have been taking enough vit d - i assumed that boots pregancy support (the one that looks exactly like pregnacare) would contain all the vitamins needed - but turns out its only 10 µg - which is 0.01mg - and the advice is 10mg/day!!!
has anyone else encountered this, or am i getting mixed up? have bout a vitd spray now, but worried ive been missing out on some important vit d doses...im now 28 weeks.

any thoughts much appreciated

You're fine - 10µg (micrograms) is the recommended amount (400 I.U). mg stands for milligrams so not the same :)

The advice is definitely not 10mg a day, that would be an absolutely massive overdose! 10mg = 10000mcg = 400,000IU of vitamin D. General recommendations are that up to 4000IU is safe, but no more without testing to make sure you're not overdosing.

The RDA in the UK is 10mcg or 400IU, although that may be set a bit low.
