Pregnant and struggling to wee - anyone else?

I am 13 weeks pregnant and every time I go to toilet for a wee it’s such an effort. I have to really focus and it can take a time for a dribble to come out and then when a dribble starts I have to really push firstly to get the urine out. Has anyone else had this?? It’s worrying me slightly.

If it's not painful then it's likely just your uterus pushing on your bladder, I find rocking back and forward helps release more

I had the same, albeit further on in my pregnancy. I had to rock about a bit and sometime gently love the bump with my hands

Hey @Somanyquestions111 I have also had this from quite early on, I remember having the same issue while pregnant with DC1.

Please get this checked! My friend had this and he baby was blocking the entrance to the bladder and she needed a catheter and 1600ml of wee was emptied from her bladder! Don't leave it

Hey - could be retroverted uterus, sometimes causes retention (is not being able to pee) and needs a catheter - or also sometimes can be due to UTI. Agree w PP best to get checked.

Have you tried tipping/rocking forward a little bit? Straight back and just tilt yourself forward at an angle? I can't remember why, but I remember this being A Thing until I got to a certain point in the pregnancy.

I found shoulders back, bust out as far as possible and stretching the spine helps.

Hope it gets better soon.
