...I am lying here, 36 weeks pregnant, feeling like I have been punched in the vagina, totally unable to sleep.

And the AMOUNT OF SOUND my husband is making as he peacefully sleeps beside me is giving me absolute red-mist, stabby R A G E.

I don’t know how I never noticed it before, but the wet mouth sounds, the lip pops, the grunting, the teeth clicking... I honestly feel like I could scream until I barf.

I can’t even go and sleep on the sofa because we are staying with my in-laws while our house renovations are finished and all of their sofas are tiny things that look like they were designed for sylvanians.

and breathe

Don't kill him.

In a few weeks he'll be a useful nappy changer and you can aim the baby at him when he vomits.

Remember this was once the man you had sex with with make your lovely soonly-new baby if the urge to use a pillow over his head gets too strong.

However maybe wake him up with a not gentle kick and demand he felt he's you food and see if the change in position helps.

Just wait til you're doing the night feeds! I've never felt so irrationally angry with someone for sleep-breathing in my life! My DH was brilliant but at night there were times when I wanted to strangle him with the cord of the bedside lamp Blush

SleepingStandingUp · 15/11/2020 01:23

No no no. Don't incite. She needs to keep the poo changer alive.

Night feeds and night time blow out changes gave me the most sleep jealousy induced rage 😂

I am so, so sorry, but this made me laugh out loud.

If you kill him I'll help you bury him.

😂😂I love this thread. Totally relate!! I'm only 23 weeks and have been going to the spare room but I'm conscious I can't do that when baby here and in the next to me crib!! He even bought anti snore pillows.....(bless!)....they don't work 😫😨🤪

FippertyGibbett · 15/11/2020 07:33

Wait until baby is screaming at 3am and he sleeps through that too 🤣🤣

Pegase · 15/11/2020 07:34

Haha I feel your pain. I went and slept different places in the house when I was late stages of pregnancy - away from DH and sometimes a change of scenery helped me sleep

HelloRose · 15/11/2020 07:40

Trust me, you will feel even more rage when he snores his way hrough night feeds & a screaming baby.

Silverstripe · 15/11/2020 08:15

Thank you for your responses everyone Grin you’ve made me smile! I did eventually manage to fall asleep and some equilibrium has been restored this morning (helped by same nearly-murdered husband bringing me tea in bed).

I'm with you. Had to cram my giant bump into DD's single bed the other morning at 2am as she wouldn't stop yelling and I could hear DH's noisy mouth snoring through the wall. I was incensed.
