Viable pregnancy?

Hi all, after someone's knowledge/previous experience.

So thought I was 9+1. Didn't have a LMP date to go off as I had a MC last time so based on when that bleeding started (11th September) I was judging that as my LMP date.

I ovulated on 1st October according to the OPK I used and tested positive exactly
2 weeks later on 15th October.

Had pregnancy symptoms, bloating, fatigue, tummy twinges etc, slightly nauseous. Went for a reassurance scan today as although I have some symptoms nothing as extreme as they were with DD1 and she could see the gestational sack and embryo but it was too small to measure so she put me at less than 6 weeks. She said the gestational sack was likely the size for being 6 weeks pregnant, they don't offer vaginal scans.

I have a midwife app next Wednesday so I'll obviously discuss this then and hope they refer me to EPU for a vaginal scan but wondered if anyone else has experienced anything similar? I'm suspecting it maybe a missed miscarriage and baby just stopped growing.

I’m sorry to hear this. I would ring your EPU tomorrow and explain the situation and see if you can get a vaginal scan as soon as possible.

I have had recurrent losses so I sympathise and hope for the best for you.

Also from your ovulation date you will be 8+3 today.

Unfortunately I have experienced this a few times and it's never had a positive outcome for me sorry. I'd speak to your EPU about getting an earlier scan though x

I've had this happen to me

Some epus won't let you self refer so if that's the case, ring the GP first thing Monday morning. Get an emergency telephone appointments, explain what's happened. They'll contact EPU for you. Likely result is a rescan at the EPU and they will make an assessment of what is happening.

Thanks @PeterPipersPepper @ivfbeenbusy @3rdtimelucky2019 I appreciate it and your honesty!

I'm going for a walk with the family to clear my head then will try and self refer to EPU x

The lady at EPU (well women's health unit on a weekend) was really good I've managed to get a scan for Tuesday as the earliest they could do so we shall see x

Be thinking of you on Tuesday. Update us if you feel like you can.

Hi all, an update....
I had my hospital scan today both ultrasound and vaginal. They said I should be between 8 and a half and 9 and a half weeks. They said the gestational sack is enlarged and measuring about 6-7 weeks but there is no fetal pole and the embryo is too small to see/measure. I have a rescan booked in for 10 days time and if no changes I’ll have a medically induced miscarriage. She says there is a small change the pregnancy could be viable but it’s very unlikely. As bad as it sounds I hope I start to miscarry before then so I've not got the 10 day wait 😕

I’m so sorry @bez91 how upsetting for you. Hope you are ok and have support at home?
