Just intrigued for anyone on the same time frame :)

I'm a FTM and not a lover of pregnancy! Roll on the baby!

Had vomitting in the first trimester now PGP but trying not to complain as at least I am at home.

How's your journey been?

Hellooooo

I'm due 8th March and also a FTM. I had awful nausea in the first trimester but have been okay since about 15 weeks.

Had to google PGP as I'm still getting to grips with everything that goes along with pregnancy. Haha! Luckily haven't experienced that yet!

Sometimes feel so overwhelmed by it all and struggle to believe that I will have a baby at the end of it all...does that make sense?

serialplanner · 13/11/2020 20:35

Sorry! Pregnancy acronyms. One minute you are googling them the next you are spitting them out like everyone knows!

Yes, I hope you don't get it - not everyone does and not this early. I must say after initially feeling a bit down about it the tips and tricks have helped.

Similar to you with sickness.

Haha it totally does! It's simple and weird to think there's a baby in my tummy that will come out of my vagina and be held in my arms mind blown

Are you working? I'm working at home but still planning to finish mid February (mentally stressful job and I just want to get away from it and focus on Bambino!)

I found the shopping/list in particular very overwhelming - why are there so many car seats and prams. Took advantage of recent sales and bought it all and shoved it away. I wasn't expecting to dislike that part as much as I did. We aren't finding out the gender so I guess shopping was a bit more practical🤷🏽‍♀️

Hi 👋 I'm due 11th March, another FTM! Had evening nausea in first trimester but I think I've been pretty lucky by all accounts!! For last 2 weeks I've felt really breathless and had some odd heart flutters but I'm told it's all normal. Saw midwife today and got to hear baby girls heartbeat which was lovely 🥰🥰

I have 4 weeks of physically going into work ( I work in a hospital but am not clinical) then I'll be at home from Xmas week til was feb when I'll start mat leave.

Starting to get bump now and feel uncomfortable moving round in bed and also climbing stairs, it's like belly hits top of legs when I lift them 😂

SkyBlue20 · 14/11/2020 07:03

Hi! I’m due a baby girl on 13th March, also a FTM. Doing generally ok so far, touch wood, my main problem is anxiety after a missed miscarriage in March but that’s easing a little every time I get past each milestone. Finally started feeling baby a week or so ago (anterior placenta), which is the best thing ever 🥰 How much shopping has everyone done? We’ve got lots of clothes, have ordered the travel system to be delivered in Jan and are hoping to get the rest on Black Friday if there are good deals on ☺️ Still feels quite early but would be a shame to miss the deals and I’m also a bit worried about any covid delays!

SkyBlue20 · 14/11/2020 07:06

Also meant to say I’m sorry about your PGP, @serialplanner. Is there anything the docs can do to help relieve the pain? Xx

hellymum21 · 14/11/2020 07:24

We ordered pram and nursery furniture a few weeks but only because I was a bit worried about Covid and what might happen. Nursery furniture comes at end December but we've yet to decide what we are actually doing with the nursery! Torn between wallpaper or a nice decal although last night I saw some lovely Pinterest ideas for wood panelling which I am now thinking might be nice! Anyone started thinking about nursery yet?

We have quite a wardrobe full of clothes/blankets etc. Some we bought (couldn't resist when we found out she's a girl 🥰) but we've already been given so much stuff from others! It's funny how people ask if I'll be offended with second hand things but I honestly don't mind. Some things I've been given are only worn once or twice and some are still new with tags on!

I started crocheting bits and bobs too, more to pass the time as there's very little else to do these days! 🙄so I've made two blankets and a cardigan (which came out so big I think she'll be one before it fits 🤣🤣I am an amateur lol)

Good to chat to others at the same stage as me! I've had a bit of lower back dull ache in the last day or two, a bit like period type cramps. Have any of you had that at this stage? I had it before in early stages but haven't experienced it for weeks now. Also had two miscarriages in last year so I totally relate @serialplanner it's a worry but as you say each milestone makes it easier 🥰🥰

hellymum21 · 14/11/2020 07:25

Sorry meant to tag you @SkyBlue20 with that last part!

SkyBlue20 · 14/11/2020 08:27

@hellymum21 Sounds like you’re really organised! I have been thinking about the nursery, we don’t need to do too much to it really as it’s white already and has built in wardrobes so just needs a refresh and I’ve found some lovely decals to put on the wall the cot will be against, then it’s just bits like shelves, prints, books, toys, etc. I’m currently working from that room (it’s our spare room) so probably won’t start on it until we’re off work for Xmas but we really don’t need too much for it so think that should be ok. I do love wood panelling, that could be lovely!
Love that you’re crocheting. I’ve always wanted to learn how to knit, maybe now is the time!
I had a week or two where I got really bad lower back pain, it does seem to have eased off a little now though. Using my pregnancy pillow behind me as I sat at my desk all day really helped.
I’m so sorry you’ve had miscarriages, they really are the worst things - I don’t think I really understood how devastating they were until I went through it. However here we are, growing our rainbow babies 🥰

hellymum21 · 14/11/2020 08:34

I suppose I am pretty organised actually, have even done all my Xmas shopping to get that out the way 😆

Our nursery was painted white when we moved in last year but it had a feature wallpaper so we've taken the off now and just need to agree what we want to do with that wall. We have a fitted wardrobe which has a mirrored door but are thinking of changing it to just normal door....am thinking ahead for sticky little fingers and lots of trying to keep it clean lol

I'm just choosing what to crochet next, it's actually very relaxing! That and watching Xmas films🎅🏻 🎄😁 I reckon crochet is much easier than knitting, you should give it a go! Can't wait to wear something on my baby that I've made 🥰

LittleRa · 14/11/2020 08:37

Hi, I’m due 8th March 2021. I already have a 6 year old DD, but with my ex so this baby will be my first with my current partner and it’s also his first child. I’m having a girl, and DD is very excited to be a big sister ☺️

basaltx · 14/11/2020 08:45

Hey! I'm just a few days behind you - I'm the 17th March, FTM too!
Really bad morning sickness in the first trimester and tiredness! Feeling more like myself now Smile
Enjoying the kicks now!
So unprepared though - only bought babygrows so far Confused

RayOfSunshine2013 · 14/11/2020 14:12

I’m due 10th March.. second boy. I cannot wait now, I’m not a pregnancy lover at all!

serialplanner · 14/11/2020 16:57

@hellymum21

I feel you on the difficult to manoeuvre out of bed. I really thought all these sorts of things would be 30 weeks plus but I am already waddling!!!

Wow love that you have made a blanket - Very special to do that for your mini one.

I had cramp really early like 9 weeks but none since. The belly does feel like it's stretching!!!

serialplanner · 14/11/2020 16:59

@SkyBlue20 I have an anterior placenta too. This week is the same started feeling movements that I know are not gas🤣but not full on kicks.

One woman on a forum said we'll be glad of it when the baby can really kick!

I can't wait for hubby to feel it soon! Especially as they can't come to scans etc :(

serialplanner · 14/11/2020 16:59

@LittleRa how lovely! Two future besties!

@basaltx Paddy's Day due date! That's actually my ideal birth date🤣

I wouldn't worry about what you have got. We are only just half way through and in this day and age everything can be with you the next day/on its way soon.

We did an appointment at John Lewis (free) and I must say that was two hours well spent just to work out what you wanted and then simply ordered everything online.

Black Friday should be a good time! I got everything end of Oct because of the baby show discounts but I had black Friday and January in mind otherwise.

I've made an Amazon list of not urgent/smaller things as I think closer to the time people might offer to get stuff (not presumptuous but might as well give them something useful to buy if they do!) Again, that can all be next day delivery

Ladies, don't forget stuff for yourself too :)

serialplanner · 14/11/2020 17:04

@RayOfSunshine2013 omg same! I wish I loved it and glowed like lots of beautiful women.

It Helps not to miss out on stuff during COVID?!

But I'm just really excited for baby. Pregnancy comes with too many different body things to deal with. But then I try to get myself in check as some friends are having fertility treatment so I don't feel I can moan.

@hellymum21 Crocheting and Christmas films sounds like heaven, hope you had a good evening of it!

@serialplanner I did think that about being glad of it when they’re absolutely booting us - be nice to have that cushion there 😂

loobyloo1234 · 16/11/2020 14:07

Hiiiii

I’m due on the 10th March. Also a FTM. Nausea was only the first trimester fortunately now I just have daily backache Eurgh.

I have a list of necessities and then a list of things I think would be nice. I’m a long way off ticking much of it off haha. 16 weeks to go though so I’m not stressing ... too much

serialplanner · 16/11/2020 20:02

@SkyBlue20 🤣🤣🤣

@loobyloo1234 definitely so much time to go. And more sales to happen :)

Anyone going to have a maternity photoshoot?

I've been looking into packages trying to find a reasonably priced one. I'm interested in capturing the bump etc after spending so much of my adult life body conscious! Pregnancy feels like whatever I look like the body is doing an amazing job!

Haha that is true. Must not get carried away until the sales have started really but its hard not to
