So I went to the EPU yesterday as have shoulder pain. No bleeding or stomach pain but GP concerned of eptopic. My result yesterday was 357. Im having another blood test tomorrow where I am literally crossing everything it has doubled.

I know it's not the number per se but the rising rate but is 357 anywhere in the realms of ok for 4+1?

I'm sorry you're going through this but there's really no way to know based on one number. It's a perfectly reasonable figure, but it all depends on how your body processes and excretes HCG as to how high or low the number is. Seeing if it has doubled is really the only way to know. Good luck.

I don't want to give you false hope but at 4+4 mine was 477. I am now 13 weeks and everything seems to be progressing well so far. Obviously what you want to see is a suitable increase, which is so much more important than a one off amount. The "normal" hcg range is huge! Also I was told by my GP that 4-5 weeks would most likely be too early to experience shoulder pain due to an ectopic. They followed that up with "that's not to say it isn't ectopic, just that it would probably be too soon for you to feel an ectopic". Shoulder pain occurs when there is free fluid in your abdomen which is one of the later stages. Unfortunately there is nothing you can do but wait. I've been there...once was a PUL and now as I said I'm 13 weeks. So sorry you are going through this. It is totally crap! Take care xox

It's more than tripled which is a bit nuts but a sac should at least be seen with that hcg now and as its on Monday, it should have increased again hopefully to at least 2200

That’s great news! Fingers crossed for your scan.
