Pregnant straight after miscarriage?

Hi everyone!

Some of you might remember me - I had a miscarriage at 9 weeks (But baby stopped growing at 6 weeks) a month ago. I’ve taken a break from mumsnet while I recovered physically and emotionally. I have pcos and this was my first pregnancy. This time, I’ve quit sugar (except for fridays when I have a chocolate croissant for breakfast!) and have been taking myo inositol as well as my metformin, folate, b12, omega 3, zinc and vitamin D.

Im feeling much better! After the bleeding stopped I got some sticky, clear cervical mucus for about 3-4 days about 1-2 weeks ago, and then on Wednesday this week I got brown discharge and some slight cramping so I figured it’s my first period after the miscarriage.

But I’m now on the third day and it’s still dark brown discharge, no red blood and mixed with clear mucus. This is pretty much exactly what I got last time and I ended up being pregnant. (I thought it was my period and started drinking wine!)

Could it be?? Could I be so lucky as to get pregnant on the first round after miscarriage?

I could just be having a strange period while my body sorts itself out - but at the moment it doesn’t seem to be progressing like a normal period, and I’ve been peeing a lot and feeling tired/headachey. I guess I just need to wait a few days and then take a test?

Last time I took a test was 2 weeks ago and it was a clear negative, which is when we started trying again.

Hope you are all well xx

2 of my 3 children were conceived straight after an early miscarriage. Midwife told me it's very common.

@KiposWonderbeasts ooh that’s interesting thank you. I don’t want to get excited but I am kind of excited! Probably the blood will turn red tomorrow and it will just be my period but here’s hoping I got lucky this time 🤞🤞🤞

It’s really quite dark brown blood - like how it was at the beginning and end of my miscarriage. Not sure what that means? Fingers crossed it doesn’t turn into a period 🤞

Has anyone else had dark brown implantation bleeding?
