Morning sickness and nausea

Im 6 weeks pregnant and the morning sickness and nausea has really hit me. I can barely keep down water. The doctor has prescribed me cyclzine which has stopped me vomiting but the nausea is horrendous and I can barely get out of bed. Has anyone found anything that’s helped with nausea.? I’ve tried ginger biscuits and pregnancy pops but that’s not working so far xx

Chocolate biscuits, ice lollies, ice poles helped me.

Cyclizine did nothing for me, I ended up on a combination of that as well as ondanestron and prochlorperazine. I too couldn't keep water down and ended up in hospital at 7 weeks - I'm now 18 weeks and still nauseous most days but no longer vomiting. Ask for different meds if the cyclizine isn't helping, they have other options they can try. Good luck and hope you feel better soon

Ice lollies worked for me too, along with digestive biscuits and salt and vinegar crisps.

It didn't take it away, just took the edge of it!

Ginger ale and sucking on mints help me Smile

I survived on ice lollies when I had HG in my last pregnancy. Keep sipping water too as I got SO dehydrated due to vomiting i was on a drip for 3 days, once i was hydrated i felt much better so it's a bit of a vicious cycle!

I’m 18 weeks pregnant and had HG since week 8 😔 I find being well rested helps it hugely (difficult with a 3 year old but I’m taking all help available to me). Also regular sips of water. The HG post on here recommended apple juice to me which is helping today. I have cyclizine and trying to get something else as the side effects are horrific for me.

I’ve randomly found peppermint candy canes help!

I'm in the same situation and same length of pregnancy too! I honestly feel so down and depressed with it I'm going stir crazy stuck in the house but I wake up feeling sick, walk round the house out of breath and feeling sick, can't stand the thought of food but I'm hungry but feel even worse after food. Honestly make me mentally struggle! :( xx
