if i [ever] got pregnant again id probably pay for a private scan at about 7/8 weeks i think it costs about 50 quid be i think it would be well worth it for me as i do worry alot about these kind of things, and if i had a scan at 8 weeks, it would make the four weeks between 8-12 weeks alot easier for me, as although its only 4 weeks feels more like four months

i had a scan with dd at 6weeks 6 days as i was having bleeding and cramping, but when i saw her the tiny bean, heart beating on the screen i just felt it was all gonna be ok.

oh gosh thats just brought a tear to my eye even thinking about that day.

very powerful stuff isnt it pregnanacy

im slighty coming round to the idea that i [may] have another baby one day maybe in a few years.
i do look at newborns and go ahhhhh
so maybe when dd is older and at school ill have a strong urge to have another?.
my desire to have a baby, before i got pregnant with dd was the strongest feeling i ever had.
always knew i wanted a baby, and felt broody since about age 15!
if i ever have another i want it to be as wanted as dd iykwim?

yes i know what you mean the early pregnancy days are a worry

i has hyperemesis and couldnt keep a thing down! i was sick the moment i got up till the moment i went to bed at night
i couldnt even walk to the shop to get bread without being sick in the street
dh would say hang on, were nearly home but my stomach would just be heaving on it own there was no way to control it
it did get alot better at the 20week half way point though

oh no the beasts awoken lol
ill go bring her down

do you think youll find out the sex ?

i did/do enjoy my job, and of course the money
but i love being with dd more
luckily we dont need the money and can still be quite comfortable on dh wages so i feel v lucky i can choose weather to work or not
havent definatly decided iykwim.

does everyone keep asking you if you want a girl this time ? i can imagine if i had another everyone would say oh are you hoping for a boy ?
i think that would bug me tbh

shes beautiful, im just thinking of a way i could send you a photo.
and shes so happy and easy going

yes i do feel lucky, and i know not everyone can have the choice about working, i know most of my friends have to work to pay bills and morgage etc.
you will be about 6k a year training to be a mw won't you ?
one of my friends is studing mw in leceister uni.

lionbeast · 21/02/2008 13:46

oh thats good.

as a wise second time mum, do you plan to do anything differently this time ?

id probably mainly buy baby gros for the 1st 8 months or more as i think its more comfortable for little babies than outfits [although each to their own and all that !]
dd still lives in baby gros!

i think, or at least hope, ill find breastfeeding easier next time.

id try to be more patient during the recovery from the birth although im not sure id be able to, but i'd at least try

also id get one of those swings from birth as dd loved it
