Hi ladies
This is my first time posting on any kind of forum but I’m very worried and was hoping for some support or advice from anyone in a similar situation.

This is my first pregnancy and I’m 29. I had my 12 week US on Friday, it seemed to go fine. The sonographer didn’t say much but I asked her at the end of everything was fine and she said, from what she could see, yes. I then waited to get my bloods for the combined test.

I received a call from the hospital on Monday telling me that my results were in and I had a high risk of a baby with DS. My results were Papp-a 0.34, HCG 2.7. My NT was 1.6mm which I thought was Normal. The lady on the phone couldn’t offer me much more insight other than saying my Papp-a was on the lower side.

I have been booked in with a consultant tomorrow morning to discuss things but I am just so nervous. I am a worrier at the best of times and this news has just sent me in a bit of a tailspin of emotions. If anyone has been through this or has any advice or words of wisdom I would be so grateful.

Worried mum to be x

Hi Bright81, how are you? I can see your post is from Nov 2020 so not sure where your currently at but I just wanted to ask how you got on?
had my 12wk scan the other week and going through exactly the same as you and my results were almost identical! Have an NIPT today, my results were 1 in 15 chance of downs but I am 40!
Hoping it all worked out for you xx
