Early scan

Hi first time poster here, any help appreciated. How often are early pregnancy scans inaccurate? TV scan was completed and GA is 7weeks 1 day from lmp, according to the person being scanned the scan was done at a private clinic, I’ve been advised that it was 5weeks 5days pregnant but could also be only 4 weeks as too small to say for sure, does that sound right? I take it the 5weeks 5days would mean from conception? Any help appreciated thank you all

When the scans are too early, there’s not much to see so they can’t tell you more. If you have a longer cycle/ovulated late then your GA from LMP will be further along than you actually are.

If taking 5 weeks 5 days then it’s 3 weeks 5 days from conception (plus the 2 week free pass). Bare in mind sometimes at one scan you might be behind but at the next one you might be ahead. The baby’s growth is not constant, might have a growth spurt. But at 5 weeks plus 5 days it’s too early to see. You’ll have better view in about a week time.
