Doubling HCG but bleeding

I had an internal scan and HCG bloods taken two days ago due to red and brown spotting (I'm approx 4/5 weeks pregnant). The scan showed nothing except for a thickened uterine wall (not that surprising considering it's v early)
and the HCG was 382.

Repeat bloods this morning have come back at 910 (just under 48 hours later) which the midwife said was promising. I have a repeat scan booked for Sunday to rule out ectopic.

I'm very anxious as I'm still bleeding and have had a recent miscarriage and a previous ectopic. Can anyone share experiences of early red pregnancy bleeding or spotting for more than a couple of days they ended with a good outcome? Thanks!

Massive hugs. I started bleeding today and have a scan booked for tomorrow morning. Such an anxious time. This is my first pregnancy so I can't offer any personal experiences but I can empathise. Thinking of you.

I bled at 5,6,7,12,13 and 28 weeks. It was a heavy bleed each time, a lot of blood.
All was fine, they never found a reason apart from it being twins. Twins were born healthy at 36 weeks (full term for twins). They needed a bit of transitional care support.
Stay calm, think positive, rest.
Sending hugs xx

@PurBal I'm really sorry to hear that and I hope it's good news tomorrow - will you let us know? How far along are you?

@PeonyandDahlia thanks for sharing - that gives me hope. Bizarrely I have had a feeling that it's twins despite no family history. I'll keep you posted!

I thought I had mc at 5 weeks, lost a lot of red blood, brown bleed continued a few days. (I also had previous mc). Blood test a few days later showed raised HCG level, they scanned at 6 weeks to find viable pregnancy though also blood in uterus. 2 weeks on sofa and very careful since, 13 and 20 week scans were ok, now 24 weeks. It's so scary but the midwife wouldn't give hope if there was none, rest and relax the best you can, fingers crossed for you.
