I tested positive last week and GP told me to self refer to Kings in London, so I sent off the form on Thursday and still haven't heard anything back. Is this normal? I even forwarded the same email just to double check they'd received it over the weekend, and I tried calling yesterday but I was on hold for half an hour (I was first in the queue, apparently).
I know I won't have a scan til around 10 weeks or so, but I haven't even had a receipt that they've got my form and I'm registered with them yet. I guess I'm just anxious; this is my first pregnancy and decided on not telling anyone until I've had a scan, my symptoms are pretty mild apart from occasional cramps and swollen boobs, I don't even really feel pregnant. Obviously my partner and I are talking about it but we're both in the dark ha!
Just want someone to see me and say, YEP, THERE'S YER BABY...

Also, is there somewhere I can clue myself up on all the abbreviations on this site? Seeing a lot of DD and DH and AIBU and it's all alien language to me Grin

I got my letters yesterday! Thanks for all your help and positive vibes.
Got my booking app for 25th Nov and a scan for 4th Jan (13+2). I rescheduled as we're going to be home for Christmas on initial scan date on 29th, and hospital said as long as I was within the 13+6 it should be okay. Booked in for a private scan on 18th (10+6) so as close as I can get it so we can announce healthy little orange pip to our family, fingers crossed. x

Yay!!! It's a really good hospital so I'm glad it's sorted!

I'm with Kings too.
Nobody got in touch until a couple
Of days before my booking in appt which was at 8 weeks (it was a phone appointment)
My 12 weeks scan was at 13 weeks, and my 20 week scan is at 21 weeks, so dont count on them getting you in early!
There has been no 16 week appointment.

They squeezed on blood tests/wee test etc at the 12week scan appointment.

@bunhead34

King’s do it differently. They have a 20 week appointment rather than a 16 week appointment. They also have the scan at 20 to 22 weeks rather than 18 to 20.

The bloods at the 12 weeks is because of coronavirus and the booking appt now being over the phone.

They also do a third scan which is more than what a lot of hospitals do.

So wouldn’t say they’re disorganised, they do it differently.
