Uncontrollable shivering in night

Hi

Just wondering if anyone has had uncontrollable shivering during the night? I am 27+3 and its happened a few times since 16 weeks, maybe 4 times in total. I wake feeling freezing cold, teeth chattering, short of breath because im shivering so much. Its quite scary and takes a while to stop. No signs of infection etc. Last night was particularly bad, my shaking woke my partner and he had to wrap me up in blankets to get it to stop but said i wasn't cold to touch.

Anyone else had this and found a cause?

Wee infection, low blood pressure, low sugar...I would seek advice from your GP.

I know you said no signs of infection but have you taken your temp? High temp can cause body to shiver uncontrollably only thing I can think of x

I used to get that when my milk came in post birth and I understood it was hormones changing.
