Hi- i have recently received my maternity exemption certificate, however on there it only states that this exempts me from prescription charges? I thought i would get free dental work too? Do i need a seperate certificate for that? I tried emailing my midwife who has sent me the initial certificate however she hasnt responded in a few days so i thought i would ask here. Thanks

Ask your dentist. In Scotland it was just telling them ( I didn’t even need to show my mat B1 but assume they were meant to see this) and got free dental. However we already have free prescriptions so we don’t have the form you are talking about.

I was wondering this too as mine only says prescription and not dentist.

Yes it covers dental treatment but only if you’re with an nhs dentist. My dentist has just stopped nhs and moved all patients to private ( without telling us) so I can’t get it 😕
