7 week scan no baby

Hi all. Had a scan today 6 weeks and 6 days. She said I have a tilted uterus and could only see a sac. No yolk sac and no baby. She said an internal scan would be better but as I was feeling so sick and absolutely hate the internal scan i refused and re booked for another scan next week. Has this happened to anyone at a almost 7 week scan before? I’ve had two miscarriages previously and am worried sick. Sad

I also have a titled uterus. I had to do an internal scan to see her. Now have a 1 year old from ivf ( that scan) . I think try not to stress yourself until you’ve had an internal scan. At 7 weeks the internal scan showed basically a bean so it’s very hard to see from an external scan.

I also have a tilted uterus. I had to have several internal scans up until I was 9 - 10weeks. Before 9 weeks they refused to do an abdominal scan as they said it wouldn't really show anything.
I wouldn't worry it is normal not to see anything very much with an abdominal scan so early on.

Thank you both for your reassurance. I also found it strange as I’ve never been told on any previous pregnancies that my uterus is tilted (not that I can remember). Just need to keep my fingers crossed for next week and try stay positive. X

I had a lot of internal exams for ivf and it was only when they tried to implant the first embryo and couldn’t that they found out I was tilted.

I had scan at 6 weeks which showed empty sac even with internal scan. Week later had baby with heart beat so I imagine with an abdominal scan it would be very hard to see much at that stage. The EPU I went to second time (first was private) said they’d never attempt external that early as tou just won’t see anything so definitely atill hope.

Thank you! I will try and stay positive for next week x

@Carex123 I am 7 weeks had a scan last week internally and was told I too have a tilted uterus, first I've known this. I have one DS and I've previously had a miscarriage in July. Last week she could only find an empty sac no yolk or fetal pole and I am due to go back on Friday for a rescan. I've started spotting quite a lot since Saturday so in my case I think mines won't be good news 😔 I have everything crossed for you.

Not sure what a tilted uterus is, but i had a blighted ovum back in april, which is technically the same where my uterus was empty and there was just a sac, no baby and no yolk sac. I was told the baby never really formed. I was experiencing all the symptoms since my body was producing the hormones, hence why the positive pregnancy test, and had to wait for 2 weeks to confirm that there was no baby developing. I dont mean to scare you, or to discourage you, in fact im now 17 weeks pregnant and everything is going well. I wanted to write you this so you know that if god forbid it wasnt going the right way, there is always light at the end of the tunnel and things will work out when the time is right. I wish you all the best Daffodil 🌸

I’m pretty similar to you. Have one DS (had a miscarriage before him) and another one this summer. I had already prepared myself for bad news today as I’ve been so anxious after the last MS - but still can’t help feeling devastated no matter how prepared I was Sad. We shouldn’t give up hope yet! -Thanks so much for your wishes and I hope everything works out for you at your next scan Xxx

@Cupcakejamlover glad everything is going well this time round! Think this is what my scan will confirm on Friday, confirm what I already know now anyway. I think I just want to be able to move on again. So unfair that this happens! But I won't give up and hopefully soon there will be light at the end of my tunnel!

Hi Moms.. I am 7 weeks pregnant and have tilted uterus . I found out yesterday that they can only see my gestation sac no embryo and pole .. Is it normal or I should be prepared my self for miscarriage. I already had two miscarriages. It is so devastating.
