Help and Advice, Placenta Previa!?!

Im 14 weeks and started to bleed quite heavily. Turns out I have a total placenta previa with the placenta covering the whole cervix. Midwife said it could move as I grow but as its possible it might not especially as it is a total placenta previa. Im a bit freaked out has anyone found theirs moved? And if not what happened throughout and how/when did you end up delivering?

I am surprised they told you this early. I had it, total/major but they didn’t ‘worry’ until I was 32 weeks as 90% move before then. Also many move after 32 weeks. I had a section at 37 weeks and 5 days due to mine was on bedrest before. I think if Covid wasn’t around they would have kept me in hospital from 35ish weeks maybe earlier x

I had total placenta previa at 13 weeks. 2 weeks later it had moved completely!

I also had complete placenta previa, identified at 20 week scan. As Mummyspider says, the vast majority move, but mine didn't either!

I had 3 large (ambulance) bleeds and was on hospital bed rest for 9 weeks, before delivering by planned section at 36+1. I had a particularly awkward case, but all went well in the end and I'm now sat next to my thriving 10 day old Smile

Hopefully some people will be along soon to reassure you with tales of how theirs shifted - we're definitely in the minority!

Had a total (major) past 32 weeks. Mine moved to posterior low around 2.2cm from cervix by her birth but by then a section was on the cards. Had her two weeks ago today and didn't cause any extra bleeding in surgery thankfully x

Ok thanks hoping it moves. I was distraught cause I was bleeding and i think the midwife thought giving me a reason would help she did mention sometimes we dont even point it but knowing why i was bleeding helped calm me down. Thank you ladies sounds like i shouldn't be too worried it will probably move!
