I'm 31 wks and have suddenly got a massively uncomfortable onset of thrush.

Have been trying just the external cream for the past 12 hrs which has only had a temporary effect.

Desperate to use the internal cream but want to check its ok while pregnant before I buy it - does anyone know?

I would go to GP and ask what's best - not only will they know what's safe but as you're entitled to free prescriptions best to make use of it!!

got this from the Canesten website. hope it helps

It is important to treat thrush during pregnancy, as evidence shows that it could be passed onto your baby (in the form of oral thrush or other fungal infections) through your birth canal when giving birth. If you think you are suffering, please visit your doctor.

Please note, that Fluconazole (which is contained within Oral & Cream Duo and Oral Capsule) should not be used during pregnancy. Please contact your doctor if you are suffering from thrush during pregnancy.

I hate to tell you this but I started with Thrush at 30 weeks - 3 pessaries later it still hadn't cleared until I went into labour! Huge sympathies...

I would defo go to GP though rather than self-treat
