You will have to fill it with water like you would a kettle.

@JumpingJamboree pour water into where the white thing has a hole in it I can't show you as I made a new account and won't let me post pictures

The hole is where the filter goes? If I remember correctly you have to put water through it first to clean it properly then once the filter is fitted add cold water to it to use it.

If the plastic hopper has a giant hole in it you need to buy a filter for it. It should have a new one if it's not been use for abit.

RubbishQueen · 08/11/2020 22:58

Also if it has been left for abit it might be worth checking the plastic pipes inside for black mold. Mine was left for a year and I had to clean the plastic pipes. Have a look on YouTube. You have to take off the back, all the screws are normal one apart from one. But you should be able to look inside by pulling the plate forward.

One last thing, if you have a filter don't prime and fit it until you are ready to use it.

Congratulations by the way!

Yeah, put the filter in water till all the bubbles stop coming out, then put the filter in the hole in the plastic bit and fill that with tap water. Doesn't have to be sterilised because the filter removes the same impurities as boiling does apparently.

The mould in the pipes was caused by people not using the correct tommee tippee branded filters, so I wouldn't worry too much about that.
