Hi All,

I’m all very new to this and wanted some reassurance, or to see if anybody else has gone through something similar. This is my first pregnancy and I’m a worrier anyway! 😩

Yesterday, after going to the toilet. I noticed some bleeding when I wiped. I instantly panicked! I haven’t had any cramps, just the occasional stabbing pains, and a sore back after bending etc.

I hadn’t had anymore bleeding throughout the night, until this morning when I experience some brown blood (which I understand can be old from the night before)

I read the cervix is softer and can cause this after sex, vaginal examination etc, but I haven’t had/done either for a while.

I had my first scan over a week ago and everything was perfect!

Is this normal or should I get checked to avoid me worrying anymore!

Thank you!! xx

Sorry you've had a scare.

Bleeding after 12 weeks should be checked, as it was light they may not want to see you but worth checking with your midwife or EPU.

I had bleeding at 11, 12 and 14 weeks, due to a hematoma not picked up at a scan after the bleeding at 11 weeks or 12 week scan. I'm now 18 weeks and starting to feel kicks, bleeding isn't always bad news, even though it can be scary.

Ive bled in both my pregnancies at 14 weeks.
Although scary, it doesnt necessarily mean that something bad is going to happen and in both my instances, they couldnt find a reason for the bled.

Purely for piece of mind, id pop to your local EPU tomorrow when they open.

Thank you ladies.

I just went to a scan because I couldn’t bare the worry and everything is fine! 😅

The lady who done it said to could be wear and tear from everything starting to grow as she couldn’t pick up anything that looked strange! It’s such a relief!

Thank you! X
