Hi all, so I fell off a chair yesterday and landed on my bum/lower back. Called and they told me just to keep an eye on it. Last pregnancy I needed anti-D, so even though there's no bleeding at the moment do I still need to get checked over? They told me I would need a referral from a doctor to get the injection, but I'm worried about just leaving it unchecked, and frustrated that they don't let me talk to the midwife unit! I have my scan tomorrow so is this something I could ask about then?

You only need anti- D if you had any trauma to your abdomen so since it was your back and lower back I’m guessing that’s why they don’t feel you need it😊

I had my Anti D last week and I was told that it's only when I have a significant trauma to the stomach that I'd need another one. As it's your bum/lower back, I assume they'd guess you're okay as it's not your stomach?

If you're still feeling unsure, go with your instinct and ring up again to confirm and explain your worries. You could ask at your scan too, it won't harm Smile

I guess I'm just worried that the fall amy have 'knocked' the bump anyway somehow. I'll ask at the scan, would just feel a lot more reassured being able to talk to an actual midwife!
