Evening all

I've just taken a Sainsbury's test and it very clearly shows positive. We've been trying for a year but I'm scared to get excited.. can you share your good and bad experiences with the Sainsbury's tests please?

I'm going to take another tomorrow but I desperately want to get excited!

TIA

ah I hate to be the one who says this first but since you asked for both experiences...

these have been the worst tests I've ever experienced. yes they showed when I was pregnant - but they also showed positive when my partner used one and when I ran one under water.

you of course could be pregnant but try another brand to be sure. good luck.

shreddednips · 07/11/2020 19:24

Yes I'd say that's positive! Congratulations!!!

Meomeomeo · 07/11/2020 19:25

If this shows up within the time limit then it’s very very promising, but if you found it like this after 10 mins then it could be evap. Could you try to get a FRER tomorrow. Fingers crossed

MrsJJones20 · 07/11/2020 19:39

@confusedx3 - thank you, I've heard this about Sainsbury's tests and the Google search brings up a lot of bad reviews. I'm going to go and get another brand tomorrow, fingers crossed!

@shreddednips - thank you I hope so Smile

@Meomeomeo - this was exactly as it showed at three minutes! I took a Sainsbury's test back in January and I started to see a faint line but only after ten mins or so, so I've definitely learnt my lesson there.. thank you Smile

I think if the line is the same thickness as the control, there’s a better chance that it’s positive. The false positives with these tests seem to be thinner lines. Fingers crossed!

@MrsJJones20 I've had bad experiences with these, but the second line came up after the time limit, not within it! So id say that's positive, 🤞

I’ve had false positives on Sainsbury’s tests but they were really faint nothing like yours. I would say that’s a pretty strong positive. Congrats :)

I got my very first bfp on a sainsburys test. The result came up before the test had finished "loading" it was very very dark and the same width as the control line.

That bfp is going to be 4 next week.

lilymty · 08/11/2020 10:14

I got my bfp with one of those tests. Im currently 16 weeks. 😀

RuthTopp · 08/11/2020 11:46

How did your new test go ?

ForTheLoveOfHalloween · 08/11/2020 11:58

I had my first 2 positives with Sainsbury's tests in my last pregnancy. My daughters now 15 months.

Congratulations!

Moreanonymousme · 08/11/2020 12:09

I had a BFP with a sainsburys test. My now 3 year old is currently munching on a cheese sandwich whilst watching Blippi! Certainly accurate for me Grin

welshladywhois40 · 08/11/2020 14:03

I've used them and had real positives from them

If a pregnancy test shows positive for a man this could mean something else.

Hope you managed to get another test to be sure. Congratulations!

MrsJJones20 · 08/11/2020 19:26

Thank you all, I took the other one this morning and it came back positive within the two minutes, and darker today. I'm going to get another brand this week, but I'm feeling a bit more confident after all the messages. Thank you! Smile
