I had spotting round about this time and I called the midwife who told me unless I was soaking through a pad or doubled up in pain they wouldn’t see me.

The EPU probably won’t even scan you at 5+4. You could possibly book yourself a reassurance scan for next week, I had one at 6+3 and seen the heartbeat.

I had three early MC and there is nothing they can/will do if you are spotting that early. A scan can’t tell you anything at this stage and unless you are in tons of pain (which could point to a serious problem) they will just tell you to wait and see.

The earliest they offered to scan me was also 6+3. Good luck

I knew they wouldn't scan me this early just hoping for some advice I ring the midwife and she said to keep an eye if it gets worse to go to hospital and if not then she will book me in for a scan if I ring on Wednesday I've had really bad sickness trough the night so she says that's a good sign hoping it's just implantation bleeding.

Hi lovely, I had spotting a week ago like you describe, at about 4 weeks ish. I had it Friday-Tuesday, with it peaking on the Sunday. On the Saturday morning I called 111, who advised me to monitor and call again if it got worse. When it went more red on Sunday morning, I called again and they asked me to go into A&E, where I had a blood test. I then went back 48 hours later for repeat bloods, and my HCG had tripled so really good sign.
I know how worrying seeing that spotting is, and when it’s so early on there isn’t much they can do, but having the bloods done 48hrs apart really helped to reassure me. Everything I read suggested it was really normal, and probably implantation or old blood. They’ve also booked me in for an early scan next week as further reassurance - they couldn’t have been nicer. If it’s going to calm you, I’d say give 111 a call. I felt better getting it checked. Take care xx

Thank you for that I'm definitely keeping an eye on it I've got a mild tummy ache but not sharp pains and not had any more blood since and still have sickness.

If it gets worse or changes I'll ring 111 thank you glad your are all well! 🤞 all is okay for us both xx
