Hi I’m 8 weeks pregnant and was taken into hospital on wed after two bleeds one on sat one on wed checked baby on Thursday heart beat was strong and they were happy baby was healthy !, but I’m wondering if anyone ever struggled with really bad heart flutters it’s been happening for a week now along with a sore head it’s so awful when it happens it happens every hour more than once and worse when I’m laying down ! Midwifes have organised a 24 hour heart trace so find out what’s going on but won’t be getting that till next week ! In the mean while I can’t sleep because of it or eat really and can bearly lift my head off my pillow ? This never happened in my first pregnancy has it happens to anyone else ??

I had heart flutters / missed beats all through my second pregnancy and they wouldn't let me deliver at home without all the right investigations.
It turned out to be - nothing!
And it vanished within hours of giving birth.
The only times I've had it since (maybe once per year) is when I'm really, really tired and pushing myself too hard.

Hey OP, I’ve suffered heart palpitations for years and I’ve had them so bad since finding out I’m pregnant. I’m just putting it down to hormones as I get them super bad when my period is due.
I know it’s hard if you are not used to them but try and not worry.

Hi @Babyjune21 I wrote a post yesterday but didn't get any replies. I've been having heart flutters and breathlessness. I work in a hospital so got an ECG yest and they said I've got ectopic heartbeats which isn't anything to worry about and is normal in pregnancy! Doesn't stop it feeling weird and horrible thought 😕

"ectopic heartbeats" - yes that's what mine was diagnosed as. Couldn't remember. It was a long time ago now! (DD is 15)
