Hiya everyone..

My fiancé is 11 weeks pregnant and after intercourse we noticed a slightly pinky bloody discharge. We’ve spoken to 111 and an out of hours doctors and they don’t seem too concerned. Our 12 week scan isn’t until 19/11 although by this time she will be nearly 14 weeks pregnant.

Since the clean up she’s put a pad on and nothing more has followed..

Has anyone else had anything similar, we can’t get to her GP until Monday as they’re closed over weekend and the out of hours surgery doesn’t think it’s necessary for an appointment.

Any help or just other experiences would be appreciated

Thankyou

Hi

I think it might have just irritated her cervix a little maybe that would have caused the stained discharge. As long as she's not cramping andr bleeding bright red she should be fine but still best to get it checked out. If you go to A and E they wont scan till Monday (well that's how it is where i live). And also i had blood stained discharge at 7 to 8 weeks for a whole week and baby was fine it was only when i wiped and never on the pad. It was pink blood with discharge and some brown. Good luck and take care

I think it's quite common, I had it with both my pregnancies around the 10 week mark. As long as it's only mild spotting it should be fine

Fingers crossed.. thankyou for replying it’s put me at ease a little, I don’t want her to think I’m worried because she will worry then so Thankyou again!

We’re going call her GP on Monday and the out of hours surgeon suggested we request our scan to be brought forward if it isn’t possible I’m thinking of going private just to be safe!

I can understand the current circumstances are different than usual with covid but we’ve spoken to 1 doctor once that’s all it’s our first pregnancy so we dont know what we should be feeling or doing if that makes sense I feel very in the dark about it all

Hey,
This happened to me!
Me and my partner had sex and straight after there was pink blood. It stopped straight away and hasn't come back since! So I'm guessing everything's fine.
