My SIL was told today that they (Stepping Hill) want to induce her tomorrow. She was planning a home birth so is obviously gutted, but I wanted to find out what options other local hospitals offer atm.
Stepping Hill doesnt offer a balloon catheter unless it's a VBAC and their underwater monitor doesnt work so if she needs continuous monitoring during labour she wont be able to use the pool or even move about much (I know, this was me 1 yr ago). She will have to be on the labour ward as it's an induction.
