Hey

So I got diagnosed with hypothyroidism 11 years ago after my first DD my levels have been all over the place for years I've always been on around 250mg!

I've just had a doctor ring saying they are concerned and that I have to be consultant led and have regular appointments and blood tests and they will keep an eye on Me constantly.

Anyone else had this I did not have any of this with my 2nd and pregnancy and now I'm on my third they seem really worried! I'm 5+2 and now I'm panicking that's something is going to go wrong!

I was on v low dose of Thyroxine and have had the same. There are new guidelines in last few years, see British Thyroid Foundation website, being under consultant care is great, seem to get more appts, tests and support. Don't worry, if you were fine before science got this far I'm sure you'll be fine again.

I have it and was under a consultant and an endocrinologist in my last pregnancy. I’m pregnant again and will be annoyed if it’s not the same this time. Prefer them to keep a closer eye just in case.

I have quite mild thyroid issues and am under consultant care for it but they don't seem very worried at all. Just some extra blood tests and keeping an eye.

I have had hypothyroidism for each of my pregnancies (now expecting DC4) and have been under consultant care for each. They do extra blood tests to keep a close eye on my levels and change my medication appropriately but other than that it hasn't really made a difference to my pregnancies.
Good luck.

I have the opposite experience. Had hypothyroidism since age 17. My first two pregnancies I had regular scans and blood tests etc, levels altered quite regularly during pregnancy. This time they don't seem bothered! 36 weeks now and had medication increased once, 12 weeks after the blood test as they didn't let me know it needed increasing from the results! xx
