Can anyone point me in the direction of receiving donated colostrum?
I had a double mastectomy 2 years ago and now pregnant. As I have no remaining breast tissue I will not produce anything milk wise. I have found information and places I can get breast milk donated but wanted to know if there was a charity set up for colostrum donation?

For information I am based in Hampshire and due beginning of January

I didn't want to read and run. I don't have any experience in this area but would probably discuss it with my GP or midwife in the first instance as they might know some local groups to refer you to. Also, NCT might be able to help.

I had a friend who had an emergency c section and couldn't produce any milk initially so ended up having to use formula instead so that might be an option or could be used alongside the donated breastmilk.

Sorry I'm not much help but I hope you find what you need.

On Facebook theres "Human Milk for Human Babies" where donors and those in need can join up, you might be about to find a new mum or soon to be mum who would donate some

Try speaking to your midwife at the hospital ur delivering at or ring the hospitals main number and see if you could speak to someone that deals with the milk bank. I know most hospitals will have one for the nicu baby's ( my son was in nicu and never ate all I produced so I donated over 150 bottles ) but I'm sure with ur history they would hopefully be able to help.
