MAM bottles

I am preparing for second baby due in 2 months. I used tommee tippee with my first but I'm trying Mam bottles this time. I have bought 5 of the full size bottles so far, I am thinking I can just buy some size 1 teats to use in those bottles? Is there any benefit to using the tiny bottles for the first couple of weeks or will I be fine using the big ones with slower teats straight away. (The teats they come with are size 2/2months+)

Also how many bottles do I need in the early days? I can't remember and my DS is only 2 Blush

Maybe there is no benefit to using the tiny bottles and I'm good to order these teats 🤔

I am in the same position and thinking the same. Also considering whether to buy plastic like I've always used or to change to glass following latest research being released on risk of plastic...
are you go g for plastic @SpacePug?

Hi, we just used the bigger size bottles with size 1 teats for our DD. We have 8 bottles though!

@itsgoodtotalk I've got the plastic ones, hopefully they're okay 🤔 I worry that glass bottles are really heavy and more delicate for taking out but I'm not sure

@GemSmith738 that's good to know thanks! I'll do that I think, I will also likely grab another pack of 3 bottles, guess it better to have too many. Is it convenient being able to sterilise in the microwave? hoping I can get rid of my TT steriliser I used last time

We had MAM bottles with DD1 and using the steriliser is much easier than microwave. It is handy when you are out and about.

Yes this is my worry too... they seem very heavy and easily break. They are also double the price! 😳 I'm thinking I might get a mixture to try them out and buy more when baby is born
