Mucus Plug 41 weeks pregnant

Hi, good morning.

I am 41 weeks pregnant & I lost my mucus plug ( it is clear) about 30 mins ago.

I know labour can take several weeks to actually start after you loose your plug, however I have been booked in for an induction for Saturday at 9pm which I would like to avoid. I will be 41+3

Do you think it's worth me calling my midwife to see if I can get booked in for an induction the Monday after Instead??
I will be 41+5, is it worth having those extra days to see if I can go into labour naturally?

The plan was to labour as long as possible at home but if I'm induced due to COVID I will have to labour up to 4cm in the hospital without my husband so would really like to avoid that.

Yes, if I were in the same position I’d want to push the induction back a couple of days too.
If you’ve got a normal low risk pregnancy and things are clearly going in the right direction, I’d hope the hospital would agree with you too
