Do faint lines after the result time (consistently) ever turn into a strong BFP?

As the title says really. I've had 2 chemical pregs. I don't know why I keep doing this to myself, but I've tested early again and at 11/12dpo currently. Since yesterday I have been getting consistent faint lines after the result timeframe. Nothing shows up in the 5 minute window but eventually, within 20 mins or so, a vvfaint line appears. My FRER from yesterday has got quite dark overnight to the point I don't need to squint now and the one from today is darkening, but nothing was there to begin with.

Terrified of another CP so was looking for some hope really that If I don't test for a couple of days it might have darkened up a bit this time.
Any success stories for me? Or does it look like i'm in for my third CP in 6 months?

Thanks in advance everyone.

I think it does get stronger, especially when you miss your period.

I had a chemical pregnancy this summer and definitely took the test too early.

Good luck!

Yes it did for me. I am now 11+3. Hope yours does too.

I’ve had a chemical and several miscarriages but I have had super faint lines darken over days. I’m currently 8+5 and I tested 3 days before my period was due - got a really faint line which darkened up by the time my period was due.

However these have always been lines which came up during the time. I wonder if you’re getting evaps rather than weak positives.

Fingers crossed things darken up for you in the next couple of days.

Thanks for replying so far. Here is yesterdays one as it was about 3 hours after I tested. It looked like this in the test but I kept getting awful glare so took it out, but it was already dry. I guess a v faint line showed up within 20 mins. Today I have had the same, but no darker and also a smudge of a faint line on a cheapie. Maybe it will darken, and maybe I need to stop torturing myself. Thanks everyone. x

Mine was fainter than that, and I was late by a couple of days. I think I just don't make particularly high amounts of HCG. I never got the super dark ones some people seemed to get. I'm due in a few weeks now so I hope everything goes smoothly for you! I had a MMC the cycle before I conceived this little one so I know the worry of waiting and hoping Flowers

Whalewhisperer · 03/11/2020 13:41

@addler - thanks. That's good to know. I am not getting anything within the time frame yet. Part of me wants to wait until I test and another part of me wants to catch it if it is my 3rd chemical in 6 months so that I can go to the doctors and ask them to look into it.

and @addler congrats on your upcoming bubba! Sorry you went through a MMC, I know a couple of friends have been through this and it is very hard. x

I got a faint line like that very early on but within the time frame. It could just be an evaporation line if you are getting this after the time you should read it.

I will keep my fingers crossed but I’m leaning more towards evaporated line rather than pregnancy sorry!

Yes, I took about 4 tests and they all said negative, so a couple of days later I took a clear blue one and it said positive. But when I emptied the bathroom bin all of my negative tests were showing positive. I was pregnant and had a healthy baby girl 😊

Mylasmummy2102 · 03/11/2020 20:12

Yes they can do!! I had lots of faint positive was convinced they were evaporation lines so I went and bought a clear blue test and it came up positive straight away 🥰

Fingers crossed for you

Here is my results 😊

Thanks everyone. I've now had 4 faint lines in 48 hours after the test window. So I'm going to wait 48 hours and re-test. Would quite like to keep an eye on things to catch it if it's another chemical. At least then I'll be armed with my 3rd one and the dr's might investigate. I'll update!! Keep the stories of 'evaps' turning into positives coming in the meantime. I'm loving them, nice to feel hopeful x

Temps plummeting almost to coverline today so I think this probably means that I am out this time. Still getting squinters though!
