Hi, have as yet no morning sickness at 5 weeks and getting worried as I have read article that no morning sickness could mean a risk of miscarriage. Can anyone give me some reassurance! Thanks PS Had evening sickness with my other 2 children but cant remember when it started.

I had none, not at all

notnowbernard · 15/10/2007 21:44

Never had sickness of any description during both pregnancies. Try not to worry and congratulations

SuperMonkey · 15/10/2007 21:45

Mine started at 13 weeks - just when I thought it would be over!

Mog · 15/10/2007 21:45

I've had three children and no morning sickness (not even nausea) with any of them. Just enjoy it - it's a very lucky thing to happen.

and my dd was fine. Some people say it is to do with sex of baby, but whatever it is I was just grateful!

ScaryMonsterStories · 15/10/2007 21:45

With DTDs (where morning sickness is supposed to be worse) I had a bit of mild nausea between about 8-11wks. Nothing more. Nothing earlier.

donttouchthefruit · 15/10/2007 21:46

mine started at 7 weeks and lasted until about 13.

policywonk · 15/10/2007 21:48

I was borderline hyper-emetic (uncontrollable sickness) on both my pregnancies - and with both of them it didn't start until 6/7 weeks. I think for most women, hormone levels aren't high enough to cause sickness until around that point.

gigglewitch · 15/10/2007 21:50

lucky u! i was v sick with first two pgs both boys, none at all the third time - a girl. but i know others who have had it the other way round....

I had none with either of mine, well, felt queasy for a day around week 8 with the second. I remember doing frantic internet searches on exactly this topic whenI was pregnant! Good luck!

ja9 · 15/10/2007 21:51

i had nothing at 6 weeks and by 6.5 it was full on... was on holiday in menorca at time and still (14 months later) feel nauseous when think about beach or hot sunshine

ScaryMonsterStories · 15/10/2007 21:56

DD - Darling Daught
DS - Darling son
DP - ....partner
DH - ....husband

ScaryMonsterStories · 15/10/2007 21:56

*daughter even

Moomin · 15/10/2007 21:59

I was blissfully sick-free at the same stage as you wth dd1 and I bought myself a cupboard full of healthy food: dried fruit, seeds, nuts, etc.
Then at 7 weeks the sickness kicked in and I couldn't even look at an apricot without retching for the next YEAR!

With dd2 sickness started same time (7-8 weeks) and I had hyperemesis YACK

congratulations sweetpea.

With my DS (5), I never had any ms to speak of...just a bit nausea first thing that cleared as soon as I was out of bed and an aversion to fish.

with DD I was sick as a dog on and off from around 7 weeks till until about 20 weeks. It lasted till about 3pm, then I wanted to crawl under my desk and go to sleep.

TheDuchessOfCorpseBride · 15/10/2007 22:32

Enjoy it while it lasts sweetpea. I was fine until 6 weeks and now, 2 weeks later, I feel awful 24 hours a day.

at all the 'I had no sickness at all' bitches ladies.

Poor you Sobernow. I have made up for horrible pregnancies by having 3 fast drug-free births. . Although I worry that 4 such easy births is more luck than one woman can have.

CovenOVeneer · 16/10/2007 14:16

Another one with 2 totally sickness/nausea free pregnancies. The tiredness was another story!!!!!!

Hi everyone. I found out a week ago that I’m pregnant. I’m now 5 weeks and 4 days. I am feeling really anxious 😬 and just wanted to know whether this is normal.. I’ve had no morning sickness or nausea at all! So my boobs have been sore and I’ve had mild cramps and a sore lower back? But that’s about it. I’ve done the usual thing of taking several pregnancy tests and went from 1-2 weeks to 2-3 weeks on a digital test on Friday. Some days I just feel like I’m not even pregnant with no symptoms at all! Is this normal? I’m very worried please help!
