Hi all,

I guess this is more of a just wondering post.

I had my dating scan and bloods today.

They say the fluid on the back of the neck is comparative to the size of the baby.

I'm 13 weeks and 2 days and the fluid was 2.3mm.

I can't remember what it was with my other 2, they say this is within a normal range.

What are other people's experiences with this.

I'm 31 also

Thankyou ladies x

Didn’t you get a print out with all the measurements and whether falls in normal range or not?

JumperooSue · 03/11/2020 10:29

Anything under 3.5mm is completely normal😊 I think if I remember, mine was about 1.8 and I was 12+5.

No they didn't mention anything about normal range, I presumed they would have just said if it looked thicker.

Obviously naturally I googled and I feel ok about it, mine falls within normal range but just wondering peoples experiences with it.

I understand the fluid may be more for a 13 week scan than an 11 for example as they said the fluid grows with the baby.

Waiting on my bloods to come back too, not sure how long they take x

OP I would say going forward unless the sonographer tells you otherwise assume things are fine or you are going to drive yourself mad.
