Hi ladies!

I'm just wondering for those of you who've had early induction or even early planned c sections what were the reasons behind those?

My friend had to be induced 3 weeks early as her amneotic fluid levels where too low and for safety of baby as she was over 36 weeks they decided to do a c-section the next day. Baby and mum both fine.

Hi, i was induced due to reduced movements.

I was induced when I was 7 days over on my own request as there was some slowing of growth and I knew that the risk of stillbirth increases the longer you go overdue (they won’t normally induce you until you’re 14 days over the due date)

Thanks for your responses!

I like to know what's happening and when so I'm really struggling with what has been my most unpredictable pregnancy so far! My two previous were pretty much textbook pregnancies. This time however I'm carrying too much amniotic fluid, blood pressure has been creeping up since 20 weeks and baby is measuring above the 97th percentile. I meet with my consultant tomorrow for the first time and I'm just feeling quite anxious about it all and worrying I may not make it to hospital in time if I go in to labour as I live 2.5hrs from the hospital I need to give birth in! I feel as though the offer of an earlier induction would help me relax and take away some of the fear of potential risk factors that surround Polyhydramnios!
