Am I having a miscarriage

So I found out Im pregnant (approx 4-5 weeks). I’ve been having awful stomach cramps but no bleeding so called 111 and got sent to A&E. The nurse has told me that my pregnancy test is very faint positive. Could this mean I’m about to have a miscarriage x

My other pregnancy tests were quite strong positives x

No necessarily, different tests have different sensitivity so one may be faint because it needs more hormone to detect the pregnancy.
Are they going to take blood test and then repeat after 48 to see if your hormones are rising?

So they’ve done some bloods my HCG is 426, so hopefully in 48 hours it will have rose

Hi @Emalex96 so sorry you're going through this worry. Firstly the faint pregnancy test is irrelevant because your hcg is 426. Most tests detect at 25-50 so we know your levels are way up from this. Forget about that test.

426 is a reasonable level for 4 weeks. They always say that the doubling is more important than the level but it's still better to have a reasonable level and you do.

Stomach cramps don't necessarily mean anything bad. I have had cramps for both of my pregnancies and it didn't mean anything bad. I did lose my second pregnancy but it was nothing to do with that at all. I tend to get cramps especially between weeks 4-6. I was so freaked out in my first pregnancy that I went for an early scan and found the heartbeat. She is now snoring away in her room.

It's so hard when you think you might be miscarrying. You probably are fine but sadly only time can tell you either way for sure.
