Hey! I'm 24 weeks pregnant and have woken up with thrush today. I think I prob scratched that area in the mighty as it's very sore and itchy. Chances of getting hold of my midwife today are slim. What over the counter treatments do people recommend? I've put coconut oil on for now but need a better suggestion. Many thanks :)

You can use pessary and thrush cream but not the oral tablet. A pharmacist may not sell it to you but you can often buy them off the shelf in the supermarket

Just get yourself some caneston duo (pessary not oral tablet), i never bothered to wait for a prescription I just ordered it off Amazon.
You don’t need to wait for a midwife either you can ring your GPs and speak to a nurse.

I feel you... I've been suffering from thrush the last week and my god it's irritating. I'm 24 weeks too.

My doctor prescribed me a pessary tablet and cream. Used the pessary last night and what a difference! 🙏🏻

Phone your doctors and I am sure they will give you a prescription without seeing you. It's common in pregnancy.

I've had it twice in the past couple of months... both times doctor prescribed the canesten pessary and cream which cleared it up.

Thanks all. Couldn't get thru to my docs. So have ordered pessary and cream from amazon. Hopefully it will work fast!
