Rubber/plastic fumes - hell

I know this sounds random but I’m suddenly worried... And quite upset.

In my first trimester, I accidentally melted the handle of a cooking pot while making dinner and the plastic smell was so so strong. I’m worried in inhaled then ingested when I ate my dinner, something harmful to the baby.

Does anyone have any thoughts? Please...

I think you’re worrying about nothing.

SpeccyLime · 29/10/2020 22:23

You and your baby will both be fine Flowers you would need very sustained exposure to chemical fumes for it to harm the baby. Try to put it from your mind

AriettyHomily · 29/10/2020 22:26

You have nothing to worry about.

Are you generally anxious?

SanFrancisco49er · 29/10/2020 22:59

You have a lot of threads with anxious sounding questions, have you spoken to your midwife about anxiety?
Hope you can get support if needed.

You’ll be fine. You probably inhale more fumes walking along a busy road.

ChampooPapi · 30/10/2020 07:43

Pollution in the air causes far more damage to unborn babies, you'll be fine!

Thank you so much everyone. I seriously appreciate it.

Yes, @AriettyHomily I really suffer badly with anxiety! I was taking citalopram before I was pregnant and came off it for the duration of pregnancy. I’m hoping to be back on it when baby is here. Thank you so much asking about it though. Means a lot that people can pick up on it and aren’t afraid to ask if it’s all okay xx
