Hello lovely ladies. I recently did the mini GD test and was told that my results were slightly higher than the norm so I had to proceed with the longer GD test. The second test consisted of not eating/drinking since midnight the day before, then getting one blood test early in the morning on an empty stomach, then having to drink a sugary drink. Then you get a blood test one hour later and then one more blood test two hours later. Today my hospital called me and said that I didn’t have enough blood in my second blood sample so they couldn’t run any tests on it. The first and third samples had good results below the limit. They told me that the diabetes team were ok with my results and that it is the first and last test that are the most important anyway. They didn’t need me to come back in. Has anyone experienced this before? Should I push to get retested (even though the test is such a pain and I had to take a half day off work)? Thank you in advance.
