Clearblue 2-3 is since conception so in pregnancy terms it's really 4-5 weeks. Your first appt isnt until week 9-10 and at the moment lots are by phone. You should then have a scan between 11 and 13 weeks.

AnxiousAnnie86 · 28/10/2020 19:03

@Starryeyedx yep it sounds like it!!! Or last periods were similar too, so you'll be due beg July ish too!! How you feeling, I've had backache and the odd cramp for last few days x

I had a backache few days ago, my tummy hurts, my boobs are bit sore when i dont have a bra on aha which is rare as i hate hanging loose😂, felt proper nauseous the other day but haven't been sick yet

@Starryeyedx yeah the backache is the worst part for me, I generally have a bad back anyway so hoping it's just normal, paranoid about a MC, as I had one this time last year and it's taken a year to conceive again....

My boobs are sooooo sore too!!! X

Your LMP + the weeks indicator puts you at about 5 weeks (or 5+3 based on LMP).

You'll have a booking appointment first about 9-10 weeks where the midwife will take a blood sample and urine sample, measure your blood pressure, weight and height and ask you lots of questions about your health. At the moment a lot of women are having the appointment over the phone and then going in for the samples and measurements.

You'll then be given your maternity notes and be referred for your 12 week/dating scan which is usually between 11-13 weeks. You can have screening tests done during this scan to for downs syndrome etc if you want to.

The NHS website has lots of helpful information about all the antenatal appointments you can expect.

Congratulations OP! ♥️(ps start taking Folic Acid now if you aren't already)

@Starryeyedx I'm just taking the pregnacare prenatal ones, they've got everything you need www.vitabiotics.com/products/pregnacare-original

TheDaydreamBelievers · 28/10/2020 20:56

@Starryeyedx theres the premade formulas like pregnacare or you can also get just cheap boots own if you want. The only things the nhs ask you to take in trimester 1 is folic acid and vitamin D.

Dont take vitamin A (just in case you already are taking a multivitamin or similar).

You can take any supermarket own brand folic acid or vitamins labelled pregnancy vitamins. Boots own brand are nice and cheap. Brands like Pregnacare are v expensive for the exact same product.

Make sure you start those ASAP xx
