Gender Experts/Nub Techs- use with caution!

Hi All,

I couldn't help myself because I am who I am, and I submitted my 12 week scans to the Gender Experts AND Nub Techs after mumsnet seemed divided on guessing the sex. Both reports came back boy, and I was SHOOK as my husband and I have just been blindly assuming it was a girl. I will admit I was a little upset; not disappointed but I felt like I had to rearrange all of my expectations.

Now I have done so much reading and imagining and have gotten SO excited about having a boy that I'm almost worried they'll be wrong (as it seems they often are) and it will be a girl LOL.

Word of caution for folks thinking of using them; it might not be worth it. I think if anything I'm MORE confused. Truly just so excited either way but I wish I had just had patience and waited for my anomaly scan....

We sent scan photos into Nub Techs, just for a bit of fun really, never took it too serious. I'd absolutely convinced myself boy from the beginning, no idea why just always felt boy early on! Nub Techs said 96% boy.
Since we've had two scans. One at 17 weeks, private incase covid regs changed and DH couldn't make hospital scan, and 20 weeks. Only to find out we're having a girl!
So don't be too hung up on what they've said, you'll only really know from your next scan. It'll be amazing either way 😊

We sent our scan off too and did the skull theory test aswell and they said 95% Boy.

I've had 4 scans since and it's 100% a Girl.

Don't read too much into what they've said and if you're desperate to know like I was book a private Gender Scan at 16-17weeks 😊

I wouldn't ever pay for that sort of thing but I did submit my 12 week scan photo to a few of the free 'expert' fb groups - every single one said they were really confident it was a girl. Everyone on MN said the same, as well as a few friends and family members who knew about nub theory... I'm sat here feeding my 3 week old son typing this 👍🏻

I submitted mine to Baby Gender Pros just for a bit of fun. My gut instinct said it was definitely a boy, they predicted girl based on nub and skull theory.

The ultrasound showed a very well established boy 😂

Definitely take the analysis with a pinch of salt and as just for fun until you have your scan and they can give you a much more definitive answer.

Yes I agree! We’ve had multiple guesses with this pregnancy but I’m skeptical with any of those companies as they charge you to guess! Which is ridiculous. Gender experts predicted boy for me but said they’ve gone by skull theory alone.

Hahaha I love all of these stories! I definitely regret spending the money. I think they can be fun, but not for someone like me haha I feel very blessed to even be pregnant (wasnt always sure it would be possible) and I'll be happy either way. We are only having one little bean so I think there will almost be a tinge of sadness or "what could have been" either way as well. But again....just so happy to be experiencing it at all.

Me.. my sister in law and 3 of my friend all sent ours to the nubologists and they predicted all ours right.. they told me 80-85% girl and was right.. im now 10 weeks pregnant and will be sending my scan to them again this time x

Nub pros for it wrong
nub pros told me my 12 week scan was a girl but it was a boy. Skull and nub were girl according to them. Found out by NIPT that it was a boy a week later. They refunded me my money to be fair and tbh it's a called a theory for a reason so I didn't trust it
