I had 4 c-sections, over about 12 years. I laboured with the first three but not the 4th. It really was fine. Recovery was longer but I think that was more age related.

@mums2boys i'm due my third section in June. Two sections 5 and 7 years ago both boys Grin. Tbh after my failed vbac second time round an elective sections sounds blissful. Try not to worry.

I've just had my third. Two previous were 5 and 4 years ago. I've found this one tougher to recover from. Maybe it's age, or third time round I don't know. I also got a wound infection which didn't help.

The actual section was my best one though! As your kids are a bit older they'll be quite helpful getting you stuff and also not needing you as much.

I would say just take it really easy after and don't expect to bounce back. Good luck!

I had 3 sections in just over 3 years. My kids are 4,3,17 months and 12 weeks. I'm no spring chicken either (nearly 40). I actually found the recovery to my last c section easier than the one before! All my pregnancies were straight forward as well.

I was in exactly your position 3 years ago.
I had an EMCS in 2010 - got to 10cm, very last-minute, it was very stressful.
I had another EMCS is 2012 - only got to 2cm and things started going weird so they decided to get baby out. Less stressful as I was never in full-blown labour.
My third was a planned CS in 2017 and it was like a walk in the park. So chilled. Plenty of time to talk through concerns, ask question etc.

@mums2boys I just remembered my friend had her 4th section earlier this year age 33 kids ages 2-7. Also my neighbor across the road with boys ages similar to yours had her third section in September aged 37/38 no issues. I'm due on June and plan to have help lined up and good frozen. We're right beside the hospital so DH can pop in for the section and head off again.

@babyguffingtonstrikesagain 10cm and a section must have been so distressing not to mention exhausting.

It was a bit scary, and yes I was a bit of a wreckage afterwards, but you just get through it don't you!
The other 2 sections were a pleasant surprise after that one!
