Hi everyone

I'm 7 weeks 4 days pregnant with our first baby. I've been feeling nauseous everyday since 6 weeks although this morning and yesterday morning I've woke up and feel pretty much my normal self. I am more tired than usual still but other than that my symptoms have pretty much eased. Is this something to be concerned about? What are your stories / experiences?

I have my first midwife appointment on Monday 2nd November and my GP has said that this can be normal but I'm just a natural worrier.

Any opinions or experiences would be much appreciated!!

I'm the complete opposite. I'm 6+ 4 and haven't had many symptoms so far. Sore nipples and slightly tired but that's it..

My first appointment is 17th November but i've rang the GP and they said it's normal for symptoms to come and go sporadically, especially so early.

xx

Hey, hope your ok! I had complete loss of symptoms at 7 weeks I woke up and felt amazing. I completely freaked out so I booked myself a private scan and bubs was absolutely fine, ive had the odd bit of sickness since and boobs started to get sore again around 11 weeksish. My other pregnancys i had hyperemisis so I am still completely shocked at my symptoms disappearing like they have done this time. Xx

Thanks @samlh and @PinkyX pregnancy is such a whirlwind of emotions I'm worrying about the lack of symptoms the last 2 days but also thankful that they have gone because the nausea was horrendous - although it'll all be worth it when they're here!! How strange @PinkyX that you've suffered such a lot with sickness in your past pregnancies but haven't as much with this one! I'm glad to hear that your bub was fine, I bet that was a relief! I honestly can't wait for our first scan but I've got to have a chat to the midwife on monday before that can even be booked in! Does it take long to wait for an ultrasound usually?

You've both reassured me that this is probably and hopefully normal and that our little bub is healthy! Xxxx

@America5 I got my scan date before my booking appointment (which I found bizarre)

Booking appointment is 17th November, 12 week scan is 7th December.

I have a load of cheap strip tests and with this being my first pregnancy i'm testing weekly (which I know I shouldn't really) but I feel so paranoid that this isn't how you're meant to feel!

I'm booking a private scan for next week so my husband can come with me and hopefully it will reassure us!

PinkyX · 27/10/2020 15:40

You will never stop worrying now even when babys here and growing up Grin the scans are usually around 11-13 weeks and then another scan around 20 weeks so won't be to long, once you have spoken to your midwife she will usually put in for your scan and you'll receive the date in the post for the scan not long after! (Not sure if a diff procedure elsewhere this is just how I've always known it to be) As for your symptoms its normal to fluctuate and every woman and every pregnancy is different so try not to stress to much xx Flowers

America5 · 27/10/2020 15:44

@samlh yes that is odd isn't it, but I'm glad you've got them sorted and yeah I completely understand why you're worried I'm the same because I still have my mild cramping that I've had pretty much since I missed my period so I'm concerned with the lack of symptoms at the moment too. I hope your private scan goes well, I might think of doing that if I have to wait too long for my scan after my booking appointment. At the moment the hospital I'm looking at thankfully allows partners to the scans which is good but it's likely to change isn't it!!

I wish you all the best, let us know how you get on with your early scan!! When is it? Xxx

@America5 I havent booked it yet.

I'll be 7+5 next wednesday so going to book it for then hopefully. My husband is off on a wednesday so it will be nice for him :)

It says on the bottom of my scan letter to come alone, which I totally understand because it's a medical appointment, but it would be better if he was there with me because i'm a very anxious person and he's the one that chills me out in situations xx

raspberryjamlove · 27/10/2020 21:36

Oh my gosh I've just been through the same things and had so many lovely words of support and advice. Thread is called hand hold please....I have been so anxious as main symptoms started to vanish but had an early scan today and everything all fine xx

America5 · 27/10/2020 22:18

@samlh best of luck for you then! I think I may book an early scan for Friday if they can get me in just to put my mind at ease!!

@raspberryjamlove omg how strange, I'm glad it's not just me though and I'm so pleased to hear that baby is fine!! Have your symptoms come back since? Will definitely find your thread 😊

I had the absolute worst morning sickness throughout my whole pregnancy but I'll always remember feeling fine at about 7-8w. It unfortunately only lasted for about 2 or 3 days before I felt sick as a dog again!

America5 · 28/10/2020 11:37

@HomesUnderTheSpanner ahh really! It is strange how they just stop. Did your pregnancy run smoothly from that point? I've managed to book a private scan for today so hopefully it'll reassure us! I'm 7w5d today so hopefully our little peanut can be found on an abdominal ultrasound 🤞🏼✨🙏🏼

Thank you all for your lovely comments and reassurance Thanks xxxx

Aww im so so happy for you! Also dont be discouraged, my scan also shows 5 days less than expected but was assured that baby will either catch up or that I just ovulated a bit later and 130 is a fab heartbeat Grin I have my scan tomorrow at 13 weeks so feeling a little bit nervous but the last private scan has reassured alot. Again I am so happy for you and hope you enjoy the rest of your pregnancy and baby. Congrats GrinFlowers
