Small bump maternity jeans

I’m 16w pregnant (FTM) and am just starting to get a little bump. It’s tiny in the morning but by evening it’s definitely there and looks like a proper bump, just still small. So far I’ve been mostly living in leggings at home and a have bought a few non maternity floaty dresses for going outside which are perfect with some size-up tights. However I’m really missing my jeans. None of mine fit properly any more and if I do squeeze into them they hurt which is probably not sensible! I bought some maternity jeans on ASOS and they were laughably big (in the stretchy waistband and also the legs) so I guess I’m not ready for them yet.
Does anyone know of any brands that work for small bumps or have any solutions?
I’ve tried the hair tie trick but hate it. I don’t like wearing leggings other that around the house. I’ve tried bigger size jeans but then they are horrible and baggy around the bum and ankles. Dresses are fine but I miss wearing my nice tops and also you need separated for going to hospital appointments and stuff.
Any ideas?

Sized up from the charity shop maybe ? I was over 20 weeks before I needed to size up even, not everyone gets big early

Have you tried different styles on ASOS? The Ridley high skinny jeans work for me (I'm 15 weeks and have the same issue).

I have a tiny bump even now in 3rd tri. I have found seraphine below bump ones good - a bit on pricey side but they wash really well!

I wore H&M overbumps (in my usual H&M size) from about 15 weeks with no problems. First wore them on a city break to Prague so there was lots of walking, no issues with them falling down.

Evidently they became quite stretched though because when I tried to wear them early on in my second pregnancy, the bump band was baggy. Underbump ones were fine though, you might get on better with those?

Jeggings were a wonderful half way between normal jeans and maternity jeans for me. I don't like leggings either but even Asda jeggings were thick enough for me to feel ok about wearing them out and about (still do now 🤭) and not feeling half naked! Lovely thick elastic waistband that could be folded down when things got a bit tight towards the end of the day...

I also had a tiny bump - ended up in. Or so trousers until 20 weeks, then got H&M over the bump skinnies.

I spent a LOT of money on 2 pairs of Paige maternity jeans which I never actually got big enough for Angry

I wore jeggings in a size up till I was about 20 weeks (think that they were from Next).

I have found over the bump jeans better from 20 weeks, but have sized down in them.

I found under bump maternity jeans worked well in the early days. I've also seen a woman who was slim but with a small baby wearing some once (I could see the front stretchy bit) so I assume they work for after the baby is born too.

I got some similar to these with the whole front bit being a wide stretchy band: www.next.co.uk/style/esr45350/R45350#R45350

H&M over bump skinnies were great for me, I always had a small bump but also hated the bobble on the button thing, wouldn't hold up my normal jeans comfortably at all.

I’m 36 weeks into my second pregnancy and am yet to find a decent pair of maternity jeans. I gave up in the end,

I bought some cheap Jeggings from Matalan in a size up from normal at first, then got some Topshop maternity jeans - the Jamie skinny ones in my normal size. I am 17 weeks now and the Topshop jeans are the right size for me now, not falling down any more.

H&M overbumps for me too.

Thanks everyone! I have splurged on a range of over bump, under bump and jeggings and hopefully something will fit and I can send the rest back! Great tips x
