Hi and congratulations on your pregnancy. Have you been prescribed aspirin for the entirety of your pregnancy and how much?

I was. The 75 mg dose

vixb1 · 26/10/2020 06:54

I was. Can't remember the dose, but was told it was something to do with blood flow and the placenta.

But an IVF friend of mine at the same hospital wasn't prescribed it. So I think the jury is still out!

150mg a day but not because I was IVF. It was due to a history of high blood pressure in the family

I’ve not been prescribed aspirin at all

heydidyouknow · 26/10/2020 07:18

I've been prescribed it for my next cycle due to multiple miscarriages previously. My bloods were tested and I didn't appear to have any clotting issues but it's to be on the safe side. Baby aspirin is what they've called it, so just a small dose.

I have been prescribed 150mg every day to take at night but have forgotten a couple of times. Just wondered what the norm was.

Wasn't prescribed it, I did ask after a failed transfer but was told the evidence wasn't there in my case, currently 14 weeks without it. I'm sure missing the odd one won't hurt, get those phone timers set! Smile

I wasn’t prescribed this - how strange that midwives are not following the same protocol!

Quail15 · 27/10/2020 06:32

Hi was told to take 75mg until 12 weeks but due to a family history of pre-eclampsia I was then told to keep taking it until birth.
