ClearBlue- How accurate?

Hi all!

My first time posting here so appreciate any guidance/experience anynone might have on ClearBlue pregnancy tests.

I am 4 days late for my period with no other unusual symptoms, but as I am usually always on time I decided to get a test to be safe.

I took two tests (both from ClearBlue):

First test taken around 10:30 AM (peed into a cup to insert strip for 5 seconds as directed). This test was very much negative and has not changed at all throughout the day (no faded lines or uncertainty on this one).

Second test taken around 6:30 PM (this time peed straight onto the strip). 3 minutes after it looked very much negative again (as far as I can remember), then perhaps 10 to 20 minutes later I noticed a faded positive line (not colourless, but a light blue, and the line going horizontally is distinctively darker). I know the instructions say ignore results after 10 minutes, but I am finding contradicting information online about this.

I will take a first response test tomorrow AM, but in meantime would appreciate if anyone with a similar experience could let me know how accurate/not accurate these tests are?

Many thanks!

@Lucy2792

Hiya, my lines took 3-5 minutes to appear. I'd say anything more than that (ie 10 mins) might just be evaporation lines.
I'd skip tomorrow and test Tuesday, as they say it's not good to test every day as little changes in 24 hours. Good luck!

Take first response test with first morning urine as hormone is most concentrated then. Anything after 10 minutes should definitely be disregarded. If you’re 4 days late though I’d have expected a definite line

Update- I got my period; not pregnant!

I am not ready for kids just yet so this was a relief for me.

Thank you so much both for taking time to reply.
