4weeks and anxious

Hi all... I’m 42, and had a positive last Sunday that makes me 4 and a half weeks pregnant. I want to be happy but I’m so anxious. I miscarried 10years ago and I am scared the same will happen again. I know all the articles say cramping and spotting is normal but I still worry... I’m cramping a lot during the day, the first few days were more on the left side but today it’s more in my lower abdomen, I also had pink discharge today. Is it normal to cramp throughout the day? It is bearable but the pink discharge is freaking me out, also I assumed implantation would have happened by now xx

Hello. I am currently 4+1 and have had moderate cramping for the last 5 days. Sometimes it's central and sometimes it's a dull ache in my right side. From what other ladies on here have said cramping is very normal. If you are worried at all you can always ring 111 or your EPU for advice :). I am anxious as hell but trying to relax and not over think it. 🤞🏻 for healthy pregnancies all round xx

Mild/moderate cramping is really normal, you’ll see lots of threads on here with people having the same worry.

I’m 7+2 now, and cramped from before bfp to at least 6 weeks on and off. Was convinced I was about to miscarry every time but early scan showed a good heartbeat, so hope all is well.

It’s nerve racking!

@wilsonbump @pookypup thank you so much ladies, it’s nice to hear other people are going through the same. I can’t believe how anxious I have been checking my boobs are still sore all the time 😂 I do feel a bit nauseous today so I’m taking that as a positive xx

Hi, cramping is really normal. Im in the same boat with positive tests today but have been spotting for a couple of days, not due on until at least the 28th. I don't know what to think as I've also had early losses before and its so disappointing.

I’m good, having moments of panic and on dr Google constantly! The cramping stopped for me so I assume that was implantation.

I woke up today feeling normal but wishing for symptoms so I know somethings happening!!

@pookypup I’ve booked an early scan for the 15th, I’ll be 7 weeks 4. I’m hoping for reassurance. How far on were you? Did you see anything?

Hi @Bdbel. I measured 6+5 and we could see a heartbeat clearly- we heard it too. I was 6+3 by LMP. The midwife also was able to see the uterus lining, CL and give reassurance that all looked as it should be at that stage.

I’m sure that by 7+4 there is a really good chance of seeing a heartbeat, even if your dates are out a bit.

Hi ladies, update from me... I did end up miscarrying sadly. I am now back again, 5 weeks pregnant. Fingers crossed for a rainbow baby xx

@Bdbel sorry about your miscarriage and a big congratulations on your new bfp, I'm 38 I had a early miscarriage last month and fell pregnant straight away with this one I'm 5+6 today im stil getting my 3+ on clearblue but still feeling really anxious I've got a scan booked for Wednesday with epu so I'm hoping it will be good news, have u got any symptoms yet

I’ve just turned 43.... so this is my last chance at a baby. I also got my 3+ today so I’m taking that as a positive. My boobs were really sore all week, yesterday they weren’t as much, it went from sore and swollen to smaller and only a little sore. I’m naturally anxious again! But I think at my age it’s a 50/50 chance.

Im so nervous, I haven’t even told my doctor yet! It’s like I’m scared ha. That’s great you’re getting a scan though. Are you getting symptoms?

@Bdbel hi how are you today I'm due 14th march 2022 I think it's a good sign when you get the 3+ on the clearblue because from my experience with my last m/c's I never got past 1-2 so fingers crossed for both of us, are you taking 5mg floric acid? Because that's what my doctor has put me on because of my age, I havnt got any children so I'm really hoping this on sticks and is healthy, my symptoms are extreme tiredness and every other day I feel sick after eating if you phone your early pregnancy unit and tell them about your previous miscarriages they will book you in for a 6 weeks scan x

My doc also gave me the 5mg, so I'm taking that. I called my doctor today and he told me to wait before I call to make sure everything progresses past 6 weeks! I wasn't happy with that response, so I think I will call and ask for a scan. When you getting yours?

Symptoms, I'm not too bad really. I have a few twinges and sore boobs but I want to have move so I know somethings happening. I think you're right about the 3+... I didn't get that last time. Fingers crossed 🤞

@Bdbel hi how are you? , its good your keeping your self busy, I feel a lot more energetic today, its crap when the doctors are like that, mine said the same on other pregnancies but i just ignored him and foned my local epu and booked in for the scan as soon as I got to 5 weeks although I never made it to the 6 scan I always started bleeding around the 5+4 and then they took me in for a earlier scan and blood tests andconfirmed early miscarriage, my scan is tomorrow morning I'm feeling really anxious incase there is nothing there. This is my 7th pregnancy now I I'm really hoping this is the one, are you useing any pregnancy apps? I'm using a app called pregnancy + of app store

I called today, they said I have to go through triage before they will look at an early scan ! I think I'll book one if I don't hear soon! Il like you, I get to this stage and then miscarry. I'm hoping this one will be different. Please let me know how you get on tomorrow xx

We seen baby heartbeat today at 6 weeks 2 days, it was amazing, im so happy, I asked if they would scan me again because of my previous and they kindley agreed to rescan in two weeks to make sure everything is progressing properly , have u got a window to the womb in your area? Because they can scan from 6 weeks if your epu dont offer you a scan, hopefully we will both have good healthy pregnancys this time round x

You must feel so much more reassured. And I'm glad they are re scanning you in 2 weeks aswell. I was considering the early scan but a few people have said that if I don't see anything I will be more stressed. Seeing yours now is making me want to. Congratulations xx

@Mylittleangel12 I've posted on my older mums group but wanted to tell you... I had my scan. There's a little heartbeat! I'm measuring 6weeks 1day. I think I'm 6weeks 3 but I am so relieved. I know it's early but I expected bad news. I hope you're ok x
