did i dream this, or are pregnant women allowed to use public loos for free?

I'd heard that shops/businesses are not allowed to refuse you the use of their toilets when you are pregnant. Never had the chance to tell anyone this as I've always been let in. Holding out my 2yo in front of me and saying "we need the toilet NOW" always works - I guess they know that she will wet their carpets if they don't let us use their loo. Have been in some very grotty staff loos though.
